WeighForward ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application WeighForward (the "App").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Health Information (HealthKit)
When you grant permission, we collect:
- Step Count Data: Your daily step count from your device's HealthKit
- Activity Data: General movement and activity information
- Usage Pattern: When you use the app and interact with features
Purposes:
- Track your progress toward the 90-mile spiritual journey
- Calculate miles traveled and remaining
- Display journey statistics and milestones
Important: We ONLY collect step data. We do not access heart rate, nutrition, workouts, or other sensitive health information.
2.2 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Apple ID: Used for authentication via Apple Sign-In
- Display Name: Your chosen username (optional)
- Journey Start Date: When you begin your spiritual journey
- Account Preferences: Your selected settings and notifications preferences
2.3 Usage Information
We automatically collect:
- Device Information: Device model, iOS version, unique device identifier
- App Usage: Features accessed, devotional completion, time spent
- Location Data: Approximate location (if map feature enabled, optional)
- Error Reports: Crash logs and technical issues
2.4 Information from Third Parties
We receive information from:
- Apple Sign-In: Email (optional), Apple ID details
- Supabase Backend: Account verification, sync data
- Google Analytics: App usage patterns (optional)
2.5 Information for Advertising
Google AdMob may collect:

- Tracking Preferences: Your App Tracking Transparency choice
- Ad Interaction: Whether you viewed or clicked ads

- Duration: Data retained as long as your account is active

While we use industry-standard security, no method is 100% secure. Transmission of data via internet carries inherent risks.
6. Your Privacy Rights & Choices

When you first open the app, you'll see a prompt to allow or deny tracking:
- Allow: Enables personalized ads through Google AdMob
- Deny: Limits ad personalization, no reduction in functionality

9. Children's Privacy
WeighForward is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us information, we will:
- Notify parents/guardians immediately
- Delete the child's data within 30 days
- Discontinue further collection
For GDPR regions (under 16) and CCPA regions (under 13), we take additional protections.
